It's time for women to rise into their fullness and greatness.
We were powerfully made to impart a positive change in our lives and the world around us. However, life has unique complexities that alter and challenge our natural being. PAUSE Project was founded to love, affirm, and support African American women and adolescents as they’re evolving in different stages of womanhood. As Rosa Parks states, ‘I was not physically tired, no, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in’. No longer will we continue to sit on the back of the bus, nor will we continue putting everything else before ourselves. We want to make sure that every African American woman takes the time to PAUSE and take care of herself.
To provide education in self-awareness, sexual health, mental health, and HIV/AIDS. We nurture spaces where African American women and adolescents can discuss the complexities of adulthood and be empowered through mentorship.
To minimize sexual health, mental health, and HIV/AIDS disparities in women and adolescents of color, and in turn build conscious communities that become champions of health equity and equality.
